XENIA, OHIO (DECEMBER, 17. 2025) - The Taylor University Trojans earned a 97–62 victory over the St. Thomas University Bobcats in nonconference action played in Xenia, Ohio.
Taylor shot an efficient 58.6 percent from the field and knocked down 15 three-pointers to pull away, building a lead as large as 35 points late in the second half. The Trojans were strong on both ends of the floor, scoring 38 points in the paint and forcing 18 St. Thomas turnovers, which they converted into 29 points.
Izaiah Day led all scorers with 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Pete Combs added 14 points, while Anthony McGhee chipped in 13 points. Zahree Harrison provided a spark off the bench with 18 points, helping Taylor's reserves account for 36 bench points.
Taylor led 48–33 at halftime and continued its momentum after the break, shooting nearly 63 percent from the floor in the second half to extend the margin.
St. Thomas was paced by Flavio Kolmann, who scored a team-high 16 points off the bench. Adrian Cruz, Kaleb Myers, and Colin Nutter each finished with 11 points for the Bobcats. Myers also pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. St. Thomas struggled from three-point range, shooting 5-of-24 (20.8 percent), and was unable to keep pace offensively.
The Bobcats will look to regroup as they host College of the Ozarks at home on Wednesday, December 31 for just their second home game this season.
