Miami Gardens Fla. – Playing their final game of the 2025 calendar year on Tuesday afternoon, the St. Thomas University Women's Basketball Team erupted for the most points under Head Coach Candace Walker in a 108-34 victory over Trinity College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· After splitting the opening eight points of the contest, the Bobcats scored 16-straight to pull ahead 20-4 while heading into the second quarter leading 27-8.
· STU opened the second quarter with a 16-0 run and kept the lead above 30 for the rest of the contest.
NOTEWORTHY:
· The 108 points scored broke the previous record of 106 points, set in a 106-26 victory over Trinity College on Dec. 4, 2019. The 46 made field goals is also a new record for the Bobcats since Walker took the reigns in 2017. STU also set the "Walker Era" record for steals with 25.
· Isabella Rivera scored 18 points on 8-13 shooting while adding seven rebounds.
· Samantha Bautista tied for the team-lead in scoring with 18 points on 7-10 shooting with four steals.
· Sarei McGill pulled down nine rebounds.
· Taylor Morgan dished out eight assists with eight steals.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· STU went 46-87 from the field, 9-27 from beyond the arc and 7-14 from the free throw line. Trinity College went 12-49, 3-10 from three-point range and 7-16 from the free throw line.
· STU held a 56-30 advantage in rebounds.
· The Bobcats forced 38 turnovers, resulting in 52 points. The visitors scored six points off 17 turnovers.
· STU recorded seven steals and two blocks versus 25 steals and three blocks for the visitors.

The Bobcats open the new year at home on Saturday, Jan. 3 against the College of Coastal Georgia with tip-off set for 2:00 pm.
