Eddie Novoa Walk Off Homerun Powers Bobcats Over #24 Thunderbirds

The St. Thomas University Bobcats defeated the #25 University of British Columbia Thunderbirds by a score of 6-4  (6 runs, 5 hits, 3 errors) on Saturday afternoon. 

 

Eddie Novoa hammered a homerun to walk off the #25 Thunderbirds  and send Jorge Perez's squad back to Miami Gardens in winning fashion. 

 

Here's how it all unfolded: 

 

Bottom 2nd: 

  • L. Morera grounded out to 3b, RBI; B. Pazos advanced to second; L. Lopez scored, unearned.

  • ​​M. Harris advanced to second on a throwing error by c; B. Pazos advanced to third on the error, scored, unearned.

 

Bottom 9th: 

  • L. Morera singled to right field, RBI; L. Lopez scored 

  • E. Novoa homered, 2 RBI; L. Morera scored.

 

Game Notables: 

  • Colin Aube gets the win and improves to 1-0 on the season. 

 

The Bobcats will continue their 2025 campaign as they host a series against Bryan College on Thursday, February 6.
