Talladega, Ala. - Led by a 22-kill showing from Kaelen Ingram on Friday evening, the 15th-ranked St. Thomas Men's Volleyball Team kept its undefeated start to Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play with a 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-16, 25-17) victory over Talladega CollegeĀ

HOW IT HAPPENED:Ā 

  • Set 1 – The Bobcats scored the opening point of the contest and never trailed in the first set, using a late 6-0 run to boast a 22-15 advantage.Ā 

  • Set 2 – STU overcame an early 4-0 deficit to take the lead midway through the second stanza at 12-11, only for Talladega to use a late 6-0 rally to pull ahead 19-15.Ā 

  • Set 3 – After splitting the opening eight points of the third set, St. Thomas scored eight-straight to boast a 12-4 lead. The Bobcats extended their lead to double digits at 19-9.Ā 

  • Set 4 – STU broke an 8-8 standstill in the fourth set behind back-to-back points and held the host without a run of consecutive points until a pair of points made it 23-16.Ā

  • Kaelen Ingram boasted 22 kills on a .667 hitting percentage while adding seven digs and four service aces.Ā
