FORT MYERS, FL - The St. Thomas University baseball team dropped their Sun Conference tournament opener to the Webber International Warriors on Thursday afternoon. 

The contest was the first game of the 2025 Sun Conference Tournament, which is being held at Jetblue Park, the Red Sox' Spring Training Facility. 

The Warriors struck early, and took command of the game in the opening innings. 

Unfortunately for the Bobcats, they struggled to keep up with the Warrior bats, and saw themselves in a hole as the game went on. 


SCORING SUMMARY - ST THOMAS: 

4th Inning
* B. Pazos grounded out to ss, RBI; L. Suarez advanced to third; L. Lopez scored.

5th Inning
* D. Biegel singled to center field, advanced to second on an error by cf, advanced to third, RBI; K. Ayala scored.
* A. Piloto grounded out to 2b, RBI; D. Biegel scored, unearned.


The Bobcats will have another opportunity tomorrow, Friday, May 2nd as they face Warner in a win or go home scenario. 

First pitch is set for 11AM.
