Pair Of Braces Powers Women's Soccer To 4-1 Victory Over New College Of Florida

Miami Gardens, Fla.– Led by a five-point effort from Julia Ezcurra on Tuesday afternoon, the St. Thomas University Women's Soccer Team defeated visiting New College of Florida 4-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  
  • Sophie Saunders quickly got the Bobcats on the scoreboard in the ninth minute of play.
  • Ezcurra found Saunders in the 31st minute to create a 2-0 advantage.
  • NCF cut the deficit in half off a penalty kick in the 52nd minute.
  • Ezcurra recreated STU's two-goal cushion in the 62nd minute.
  • Ezcurra concluded the scoring in the 69th minute.
 
NOTEWORTHY: 
  • Ezcurra contributed to three scores with two goals and one assist.
  • Isabella Penaranda stopped one shot.
