No Trick on Halloween Night as Bobcats Route Nighthawks

THOMASVILLE, Ga. - The Bobcats wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Isaiah Lopez broke free for a 14-yard rushing touchdown just 47 seconds into the opening quarter. Lopez found the end zone again on St. Thomas' next possession, finishing a seven-play drive with a three-yard touchdown run to give the Bobcats an early 14-0 advantage.

St. Thomas continued to build momentum on both sides of the ball. Trevon Williams recovered a fumble in the end zone for a defensive touchdown, extending the lead to 21-0. Special teams then got involved as Keyon Martin returned a punt 49 yards for another score.

The Bobcats' defense delivered another major play late in the first quarter when Markeyon Moore intercepted a pass and returned it 66 yards for a touchdown. The defensive score capped a remarkable opening quarter, with St. Thomas taking a commanding 35-0 lead.

The offensive production continued into the second quarter. Alfred Jordan opened the scoring with a 23-yard rushing touchdown, while Lopez added his third rushing touchdown of the afternoon on a four-yard run.

St. Thomas showcased its versatility on the next scoring drive, as Lopez connected with Camden Hartzell on a one-yard touchdown pass. The Bobcats closed out the first half in spectacular fashion when Parker Nippert found Michael Duran for a 49-yard touchdown strike, sending St. Thomas into the locker room with a commanding 63-0 advantage.

The Bobcats maintained their dominance after halftime. Amaree Jabbar opened the second-half scoring with an eight-yard rushing touchdown, extending the lead to 70-0.

Jay Giunta added a pair of field goals in the second half, connecting from 23 yards in the third quarter and 44 yards in the fourth to bring the final score to 76-0.

St. Thomas' performance featured contributions from all three phases of the game, with the offense finding the end zone through multiple players, the defense recording two touchdowns, and the special teams unit adding a punt-return score.

The Bobcats' 76-point shutout victory highlighted their ability to create opportunities, capitalize on turnovers, and produce explosive plays throughout all four quarters.
