Payton Bertke surpassing 4,000 career assists on Friday afternoon, the 10th-ranked St. Thomas University Women's Volleyball Team defeated host Webber Internation 3-1 (25-11, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Trailing early in the first set 6-1, the Bobcats flipped the advantage behind a 14-0 run to create a 15-6 lead.
- After splitting the initial 22 points of the second set, St. Thomas scored the ensuing three points and kept the lead for the rest of the frame.
- Webber used a 3-0 run midway through the third set to pull ahead 19-17 and kept the advantage for the rest of the frame.
- St. Thomas responded to a fourth-set-opening tally by Webber with three-straight and kept the lead for the rest of the stanza.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Entering the contest 19 assists away from becoming the fourth student-athlete in Sun Conference history to eclipse 4,000 in their career, Bertke ended the match with 50 on top of eight digs, one service ace and one assisted block.
- Raya Mlyakova paced the offense with 14 kills, adding one service ace and one assisted block.
- Ranya Mehta chipped in one solo block and one assisted.
- Isabela Aviloff anchored the defense behind 16 digs.

- The Bobcats ended the match with 72 kills on a .305 hitting percentage; Webber tallied 47 on a .097 clip.
- St. Thomas served five aces while the Warriors served 10.
