Brunswick, Ga. – Facing a nine-point deficit early in the fourth quarter of Saturday's Sun Conference contest, the St. Thomas University Women's Basketball rallied to make it a one-point game in less than two minutes of play only and got within one again in the final minute of a 74-72 setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· The Bobcats raced out to an early 5-0 lead, with Coastal Georgia knotting the score at 10-all before ending the opening quarter with a 17-12 lead.
· CCG created a double-digit advantage in the second quarter at 26-16, extending it to 13 at 40-27 before a Bobcats' basket in the final seconds made it 40-29 at the break.
· St. Thomas cut the deficit down to one at 33-32 midway through the third quarter, only for six-straight points for Webber extending their lead to 39-32 with 4:07 remaining in the frame. The two sides traded the ensuing 12 points to maintain the seven-point game before a pair of free throws in the final seconds created a 45-40 score.
· The Bobcats overcame a 51-34 score midway through the third frame, scoring 10-straight points to make it 51-44 with the Bobcats heading into the final 10 minutes trailing 57-48.
· A 10-2 stretch in two minutes of play brought the Bobcats within one at 62-61, with the Bobcats making it a one-point game again at 73-72 with 35 seconds left.

Jaliyah Weekes scored a team-high 15 points on 5-8 shooting.

Sarei McGill paced the offense behind 13 points.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· STU went 25-59 from the field, 6-21 from beyond the arc and 16-28 from the free throw line. Coastal went 28-61, 7-21 from three and 11-13 from the free throw line.
· The host held a 35-31 advantage in rebounds.
· The Bobcats forced 16 turnovers, resulting in 12 points. The Mariners scored 13 points off 14 turnovers.
· STU recorded three steals versus eight steals and two blocks for Coastal Georgia.
