Miami Gardens Fla. – Returning to Col. Jacquelin J. Kelly Field on Saturday afternoon, the 12th ranked St. Thomas University Softball Team swept Trinity College of Jacksonville in a 5-0, 11-0 (5 Inning) doubleheader.

NOTEWORTHY (GAME 1):
- Mendieta went 2-2 with one run scored.
- Fayad went 1-3 with three RBI.
- Melody Viscaino struck out 10 batters in five scoreless frames.
- Christina Ortiz tossed the final two frames.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):
- The Bobcats capitalized on two TCJ errors and six free bases in the bottom of the first to score eight runs.
- Lilly Herndon sent Edwards home in the bottom of the second off a double to extend the lead to 9-0.
- Fayad gave the Bobcats a double-digit lead in the bottom of the third with a sacrifice fly that scored Sydnee Fordham before a Giada Aconfora double scored Edwards to create the final score.
NOTEWORTHY (GAME 2):
- Edwards scored three runs.
- Fordham went 1-3 with two runs scored.
- Jade Fayad went 1-2 with three RBI.
- Alondra Lozada went 2-2 with one RBI and one run scored.
