BRUNSWICK, GEORGIA (MARCH 28, 2026) - The St. Thomas University Bobcats tennis teams picked up two Sun Conference road wins against SCAD Savannah and the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners over the weekend. Here's how it happened:

SCAD Women

The St. Thomas University women's tennis team battled to a hard-fought 4-3 victory over SCAD Savannah on Friday, overcoming an early deficit to secure the win behind a strong showing in singles play.

SCAD Savannah claimed the doubles point, taking two of three matches to open the contest. The pairing of Marta Miralles and Alicia Andres Rodriguez earned the lone doubles win for the Bobcats with a 6-4 victory at No. 2, but SCAD responded with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 to take a 1-0 lead.

Trailing heading into singles, St. Thomas responded with resilience and depth across the lineup. The Bobcats picked up four singles victories to clinch the match, highlighted by straight-set wins from Caterina Antonini at No. 1 (6-3, 6-4), Sachely Carerra at No. 4 (6-4, 6-0), and Jenesie Burgos at No. 6 (6-1, 6-1).

Alicia Andres Rodriguez delivered at No. 5 singles, battling through a three-set match to defeat Jess Johnson 6-2, 3-6, 6-1.

SCAD Savannah earned singles wins at No. 2 and No. 3, but it was not enough to overcome the Bobcats' strong performance in the remaining courts.
