- The Bobcats scored the opening two points of the contest and never trailed in the opening set, holding the host without a run greater than two for the entire stanza.
- After trading the initial four points of the second set, STU scored six-straight and kept the lead above five for the duration of the frame.
- St. Thomas broke a 5-5 start to the third set with a 5-0 run, holding the Royals to two runs of back-to-back points to maintain the lead.
