Men's Track And Field Wins Sun Conference Outdoor Championship

Lakeland, Fla. - Led by Co-Player of the Meet Elijah Smith, the St. Thomas University Men's Track and Field team won the Sun Conference Outdoor Championship to complete their sweep after winning the Indoor title earlier this year.

 

All-Conference Honorees

  • Smith recorded a pair of NAIA A Standard marks in his gold-medal showings via a 7.57m effort in the Long Jump and 15.11m in the Triple Jump.

  • Nicholas Altheimer won the 100 and 200 Meter events behind times of 10.43 and a NAIA A standard mark of 20.68.

  • Kenzie Knowles earned a gold in the 400 Meter with a NAIA A standard time of 47.10 on top of a runner-up showing in the 800 Meter with a 1:56.68 time.

  • Landan Creighton accumulated 6102 in the Decathlon to earn the gold medal before a 4.75m in the Pole Vault earned him another gold.

  • Zach Anis won the Men's Hammer with a 45.09m showing.

  • The 4x100 Relay team of Avian Edwards, Nicholas Altheimer, Justus Trainer and Jalen Tanner recorded an NAIA A Standard mark of 39.91 in their gold-medal showing.

  • Jamal Walton, Khamauri Crabbe, Justin Weaver and Jimmy Baptiste won the 4x400 relay with a 3:15.80 time.

  • Deangelo Griffith, Darion Nelson, Jabes Jimenez and Liska Schuvens recorded a 7:43.38 time in the 4x800 relay to finish first.

  • Tanner finished second in the 200 Meter off a 21.40 time.

  • Parker Doll recorded the second-fastest time 10,000 Meters with a 33:51.16 run.

  • Jason Ravelo recorded an NAIA B standard time of 14:45 in the 110 Hurdles that earned him second place.

  • Edwin Vega Ramos placed second in the 5000 Walk via a 26:37.67 finish.

  • Avian Edwards earned bronze in the 200 Meter with a 21.51 finish.

  • Jamal Walton took third in the 400 Meter with a 48.35 mark.

  • Liska Schuvens took third in the 800 Meter with a 1:57.59 finish.

  • Alberto Moreira placed third in the 5000 walk with a 28:01.43 mark.

  • Isaiah Waters earned a pair of bronze medals with a 14.65 time in the 110 Hurdles and a NAIA A Standard mark of 52.41 in the 400 Hurdles.

  • Arthunsisto Volmar placed third in the High Jump with a 1.95m mark and the Long Jump with a 7.12m effort.

  • Ja'quann Anderson used a 14.49m performance in the Triple Jump to take third.
