MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The St. Thomas University Men's Wrestling program has a new home starting this fall, joining the Southern States Athletic Conference after the league announced it as its newest Championship Sport this upcoming academic year.

STU joins fellow Sun Conference programs Keiser University, New College of Florida and Southeastern with Andrew, Brewton-Parker and Life rounding out the conference for year one.

The inaugural SSAC Championship will take place on Feb. 20, 2027 at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. After two years in Montgomery, the Championship will move to Florida for two years to be closer to the Sun Conference schools.

The Bobcats enter a new chapter after their best showing at an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship in program history, earning their first Newcomer of the Year winner and first weight class Champion.
