Adrian Escarate, born in Santiago, Chile on September 29, 1988. Began playing tennis at the age of 6 years old in the footsteps of his older brother, Rodrigo, who had also picked up the sport. Played USTA all throughout his junior career, doing his best in the under 12s division being ranked top 15 in the state of Florida and also at the end of his junior career in the under 18s division being ranked 46 in the state and top 400 in the nation.  Attended Miami Killian Senior High School, achieving the Class 4A State Championship runner-up place as a freshman in 2003-2004 season, then winning the Class 4A State Championship title as a sophomore in 2004-2005.

Adrian also attended University of North Florida as a freshman in the 2007-2008 collegiate season posting an 11-6 record in singles #5 and #6 positions and an 13-4 record in doubles at the number #3 position.

As a sophomore at St. Thomas University in the 2008-2009 season, Adrian posted a 6-7 singles record at the #1 position and a 5-7 doubles record at the #1 doubles position.

Adrian is majoring in Communications at St. Thomas University, with hopes of working for ESPN when done with college. Hobbies are playing soccer, listening to music, and going out. His favorite sports athlete was Marcelo Rios and favorite sports team is Universidad de Chile soccer team.
