St. Thomas University Bobcats

Born November 28, 1989... Daughter of Sonia and Fausto Castillo. A transfer from Broward College (previously Broward Community College) and is currently a Senior majoring in Communications. Favorite musical artist is Bob Marley. This will be Bridget's second season playing for STU Bobcats. Home schooled in Miami, Florida... Played three years of tennis for coach Emilio Gonzalez at Miami Sunset Senior High School... Helped win the Florida Class 4A State Title in 2004 and 2005... Reached the district finals in 2006. Played two seasons at Broward College (previously Broward Community College), under the direction of Letrone Mason ('06-'07) and Oscar Ortega ('07-'08), and helped the Seahawks to an eighth-place team finish at the 2007 NJCAA National Championship in Tucson, Arizona... Ranked thirteenth in the final ITA/Fila NJCAA women’s doubles tennis Collegiate Tennis Rankings. In Fall 2007, won the NJCAA Florida Regional Doubles Championship. In Spring 2008, helped the Seahawks to a fourth-place finish at the 2008 NJCAA State Championships. Last year, under the direction of Bruce Carrington ('08-'10) at St. Thomas University, she had a record of 4-10 (Singles) and 2-12 (Doubles).
