(2016) red-shirted in his first year at St. Thomas University... (2017) Gus played on the STU Developmental team... (2018) Gus made his varsity debut, appearing in 11 games... Guerra contributed to the record-breaking STU Bobcats team that won a school record 56 games, won the Sun Conference regular season championship and appeared in the NAIA World Series, hitting 0.450 in 20 at-bats... (2019) batted 0.278, appearing in 49 games... was a catalyst in the NAIA World Series run for STU, scoring two runs and setting up a game-tying home run by Jackie Urbaez in the opening game against No. 3 Southeastern...In the 2020 season, Gus appeared in 24 games with a 0.365 batting average, with 10 RBIs in 74 at-bats before the season was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. 

Personal: In addition to playing for the STU Baseball team, Gus also contributes to the Bobcat Sports Network and Athletic Communications department as a voice for the fall sports teams and his goal is to "lead the NAIA in fun"... while in high school, Gus was a District Champion Cross Country runner as a sophomore...plans after graduation is to go straight into his graduate studies... Gus also plays soccer, basketball and football for fun... he is a Miami Marlins fan... he is inspired by his mother, Sandra.
