Career: Thompson was red-shirted in 2018 in his first year at STU... 2019 - Thompson finished third on the team in batting average (0.331), recording 54 hits, driving in 33 runs and stealing thirteen bases... Thompson earned Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors... Thompson had the highest batting average on the club in Sun Conference play (0.381)... hit his second career home run in the NAIA National Championship game against Tennessee Wesleyan (5/31)...In 2020, Thompson appeared in 25 games with a 0.378 batting average with 20 RBIs and two home runs in 74 at-bats.

Personal: Thompson comes to STU after his high school career at Archbishop McCarthy, where he was a part of three consecutive state championship teams from 2015-2017... His favorite team is the New York Yankees, where his favorite athlete, Derek Jeter played his entire career.
