Daniel Espinosa enters his fourth season at St. Thomas University, where he leads the Bobcats' linebackers.
During the 2025 season, Espinosa coached a pair of All-Conference linebackers in Zach Marino and Jeremiah Laguerre. The duo led the Bobcats in tackles, combining for 154 total tackles on the season.
In 2024, Espinosa guided linebacker Kendall Wilson to All-American honors as well as Sun Conference Linebacker of the Year recognition. Wilson led the Sun Conference with 98 tackles during the 2024 season.
Espinosa joined the Bobcats' coaching staff in 2023 as a Defensive Assistant, helping STU earn an NAIA postseason berth and secure the first postseason victory in program history.
Prior to joining St. Thomas, Espinosa served as the Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator at Mater Academy Charter. He also served as the Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator at Southwest Miami Senior High School.
Espinosa previously served as the Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator at John A. Ferguson Senior High School, where he helped build the football program from its inaugural season. During his tenure, Ferguson reached the postseason for the first time in school history.
In addition to his responsibilities with the Bobcats' linebackers, Espinosa serves as the Head Coach of the St. Thomas University Developmental Team.
