Al Gordon joined the St. Thomas staff in early 2024 and plays a crucial role in Strength and Conditioning while actively collaborating with the Bobcats’ secondary coaching staff for the 2024 season.
As the former Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer, he possesses significant expertise in sports performance, emphasizing athletic mobility. Over his 15-year coaching career, Gordon has effectively developed a wide range of athletes, from high school competitors to Hall of Fame legends.
His playing career as a cornerback and wide receiver includes valuable experiences in the Canadian Football League, Arena Football League, and various professional leagues in Europe.
Since concluding his athletic career, Gordon has pursued multiple professional roles while earning a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a master's degree in Criminology, with plans to pursue a Ph.D. His most important mission, however, is serving his Savior, Jesus Christ, through mentoring and empowering student-athletes with essential life skills for their success. His impactful career also features notable positions at Taylor University, Trinity International University, the University of San Diego, and Palomar College.
