BIOGRAPHY

Jake enters his second year working in the Athletic Communications department, and sixth year in total at St. Thomas.
Born in Columbus, OH Jake has lived in Ohio, Tennessee, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Florida. A long time Hockey player, Jake was a two year starter at Padua Franciscan, before playing for the Wooster Oilers. While in High School he found the passion of working in sports, and learning as much as he could from a variety of sports which helps him now in his role at St. Thomas University.
First coming to St. Thomas University in 2019 he wanted to stay close to competition and sports, volunteering as a game operations volunteer with the football team. Helping with game day set up and figuring things out with a brand new program. Moving on from game operations at the end of 2020 he was involved with the equipment side of things, from putting equipment in lockers for the beginning of the season, getting ready for game days, and on the sidelines for practices and games helping athletes with broken equipment.
After helping Michelle Murch with various things inside athletic communications, from statting baseball and other sports, he received the opportunity to fulfill his dream of working in athletics coming right out of college and is now the Manager of Athletic Communications.
