At Lincoln Memorial, Tim has the lowest single-season ERA in school history, 1.24, in 72.1 innings pitched… Grandfather, Mike, pitched in the Minnesota Twins organization… Uncle, Scot Shields, was drafted in the 38th round of the 1997 MLB Draft out of Lincoln Memorial University by the Los Angeles Angels. Scot pitched 10 seasons in the Majors for the Angels (2001-2010), having a 3.18 ERA and 631 strikeouts in 697 MLB innings. Scot was a member of the 2002 World Series Champion Team for the Angels, and pitched for Team USA in the 2006 and 2009 World Baseball Classics.
