My name is Manuela Gil, and I am from Medellin, Colombia. I moved to the United States when I was five years old, lived in Miami for four years, and then moved to Weston, Florida. I have been living here, in Florida, for thirteen years. Although golf is the sport my family plays the most, I started playing tennis as a recreational sport when I was thirteen and enjoyed every moment. Later on, after two years, I decided to take it more seriously and continued on to play every day. I also began playing USTA tournaments and played ITF junior tournaments in Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Colombia which helped me gain more experience. For my first three high school years I went to Cypress Bay high school in which I played high school tennis, and then I finished my senior year online to keep on improving my tennis.
