Kamden Maas is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach and spring competitor for the Bobcats.
Maas arrives after four years as a dual sport student athlete at Missouri Baptist University. Where her team never concluded the season below a national ranking of 10th place, earning 3rd for two of the years. As for beach volleyball the Spartans additionally brought home hardware from the championship annually. For the duration of her sand career, she strictly participated on the one and two team. As a team captain, she held responsibilities in meal coordination, itineraries, team bonding, and practice organization. She was the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Council board for two and a half years. Prior to MBU, Maas was a Division I student-athlete at California State University, Northridge, where she remained a member of the indoor and beach volleyball teams. She was first exposed to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in LA. This involvement included event designing, fundraising, athlete experience improvements, public speaking, constant communication with administration, and creating and passing a by law for the NAIA athletic constitution.
She began coaching club in high school for a 12-1 girls volleyball team and the passion grew from there. Maas has coached both indoor and beach volleyball clinics along with a range of girl's volleyball elite club teams in both Southern California and St. Louis.
The Carlsbad, CA native earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from MBU and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Finance through STU. She yearns to become an executive of a biotech company where she can make differences in the world daily.
