Inigo Marina became a name that will be engraved in St. Thomas history forever. On March 5, 2022, the final day of the 2021-22 NAIA National Championship, Marina swam in the 200-yard breaststroke and became the first national champion in school history. Marina, just a freshmen racked up seven All-American honors and one conference silver medal in his first season as a Bobcat. By year two, Marina helped lead the team to a national runner-up finish at the NAIA National Championships. Marina is a four-time national champion, eight time All-Conference member and 12 time All-American.

Marina now holds two NAIA National Championship Meet records in his 200-yard breaststroke (1:56.54) and in the 400-yard medley relay (3:12.72) set in 2022-23.
