Lake Wales, FL - The St. Thomas women's soccer team (2-7-1, 2-4 in The Sun Conference) dominated the ball on their way to a 2-0 victory against the Warner Southern College Royals (3-6, 0-6 in SC). Capitalizing on the extra possessions were Francis Brlit and Jobeth Ramirez, both scored a goal for the Bobcats.
Brlit scored first during the 60th minute of the game off a rebound from one of the many Bobcat shots during the game, the Bobcats out shot the Royals 17 to 6. Nine of the Bobcats 17 shots were on goal.
Ramirez put away any hope for a miracle come back by the Royals when she scored her goal with less than 30 seconds left in the game. Maria Mora was credited with the win and shutout for the Bobcats, after playing 90 minutes in goal, making a save and not allowing a goal. The Bobcats play again October 5 against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at home at 3 PM.
