BABSON PARK, Fla. - St.Thomas' golf team found themselves in 4th place through two rounds following the excellent play of Max Keen who was in a tie for second individually. The Bobcats finished the final round in 4th place as well, and Keen's final round 78 put him in a tie for 7th.
Keen posted scores of 72-70 the first two rounds and put himself in great position to contend for the title. Keen's 6-over par final round knocked him down a few positions but the team held strong while the course showed its difficulty.
Omar Tejeira was tied for 12th after two rounds and posted a 76 on the final day. Je Her tallied the Bobcats best score for the final round with an even par 72. STU finished in 4th behind USC-Beaufort, Brevard CC, and SCAD, while Eckerd College rounded out the top 5.
The Webber Invitational was St. Thomas' first tournament of the year.
