WEST PALM BEACH, Fla-The STU women's soccer team was in action Saturday taking on Northwood University in the second round of the Sun Conference Tournament. STU was coming off an impressive win in the first round where they secured a victory over Southeastern. STU defeated Northwood 2-0 to move on in the tournament.

STU's defense was rarely threatened as goalkeeper Ariana Lorenzo secured her second clean sheet of the tournament and her 11^th overall for the season and had 3 saves total.

The first goal of the match came in the 42^nd minute of the first half scored by Sarah Granda and was assisted by Miranda Goransson who had two assists in the match.

The insurance goal was secured by Danelle Nguyen in the 66^th minute in the second half. It was a beautiful header off a cross from Goransson.
