HARDEEVILLE, SC. - The Bobcats (7-7-1, 3-5) dropped a road contest to the Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) (10-6, 6-2) by the score of 3-0 on Friday evening. Â The Bobcats had their share of scoring opportunities generating attempting more shots than the Bees, and matching them with shots on goal even at 10. Â However, the difference was that the Bobcats failed to put the ball in the net. Â The Bees, on the other hand, were able to convert their opportunities into 3 goals.
Meadhbh Deeney got the Bees on the board early in the 5th minute on an unassisted strike. Â Olivia Buechler added another Score for SCAD in the 17th minute. Â The Bees would go into the half with a 2-0 lead. Â Early in the second half, they added further security when Alexandra Weinberg found Kelly McKay in the 59th minute for the Bees third goal of the match.
The Bobcats return to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. to face the University of South Carolina Beaufort at Fin Land Field in Blufton, South Carolina.
