MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (4-2) fell to visiting Texas Wesleyan (8-4) 67-47 on Monday evening in the Holiday Inn Express Classic at the Fernandez Family Center.Â

Texas Wesleyan's Kashyla Fields led all scorers with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Onyesonam Nolisa (11 pts), 17 rebs) and Katelynn Threats (12 pts, 14 rebs) both had double-doubles as the Rams out-rebounded the Bobcats 54-34.

Claudia Martin led St. Thomas with 16 points to go along with six rebounds and three blocked shots.Â
Dannisha Pierce scored 15 points and pulled down six boards as well.

The Bobcats never led in the game and trailed the Rams by 20 points at halftime. The two teams played even in the second half, each scoring 24 points.

St. Thomas returns to action 6 p.m. on Tuesday vs. Grace College at the Fernandez Family Center in the final game of the Holiday Inn Express Classic.
