CLEARWATER, Fla. – St. Thomas (4-1) matched a school record for most points scored with a resounding 116-48 win over host Clearwater Christian (1-9)

Dannisha Pierce led all scorers with 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting to go along 18 rebounds.Â
Claudia Martin also recorded a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds.Â
Emma Grimes went 7-of-14 from beyond the arc en route to a career-high 21 points.Â
Jamesha Willis came off the bench to score 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting in 18 minutes.

As a team, STU shot 45-of-74 (61%) from the field, while holding CCC to 26% shooting. The Bobcats outrebounded the Cougars 48-18.

The 116 points scored tied the Bobcats' school-high for points set on Dec. 20, 2013 when STU scored 116 in a win over Olivet Nazarene.

St. Thomas returns to action with a home game vs. Texas Wesleyan on
Monday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Fernandez Center as part of the Holiday Inn Express Classic.
