MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (11-3, 4-0) remained undefeated in Sun Conference play with a 60-57 come-from-behind win over Embry-Riddle (9-5, 1-3) Thursday night at the Fernandez Family Center.

Dannisha Pierce led all scorers with 20 points on 10-of-17 shooting to go along with a game-high five steals.Â
Antishia Wright was one assist shy of a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists as well as four steals and a blocked shot. Wright, who played all 40 minutes, scored all of her 10 points in the second half.Â
Claudia Martin added 14 points.

St. Thomas trailed for much of the first half, falling behind the Eagles by as many as 10 points. The Bobcats however went on a 17-4 run to end the opening stanza and take a 27-24 lead into intermission. STU would extend its lead to as many as eight points in the second half, before the Eagles came back 40-40 with 10:55 to play in regulation.

ERAU continued its scoring run taking a 50-42 lead on a Sabrina Whiting layup with 6:40 to play. The Eagles maintained the lead until a Martin layup off a Pierce assist tied the game 57-57 with 1:26 remaining. Wright then found Franklin-Jordan under the basket to give the Bobcats a two-point lead with 32 seconds left. Wright then added a free throw in the closing seconds for the final margin.

STU was most effective creating offense off of ERAU turnovers as the Eagles recorded 28 turnovers leading to 23 points. The Bobcats did however struggle from the free throw line, shooting just 6-of-18 from the line.

St. Thomas returns to action against Johnson & Wales on Saturday at the Fernandez Family Center. Game time is 2 p.m.
