Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - St. Thomas (5-3) added another 1-0 win to their season by defeating Florida National University (3-5-8).

The Bobcats took the 1-0 lead late in the game when Abraham Bibas, assisted mid fielder Victor Cortez for the only goal in the 80th minute of the game to lead the bobcats to victory. The goal would result in Cortez's second goal of the season. 

With the first half underway, St. Thomas took a defensive standpoint. With the Conquistadors imposing six of their eight shots during the first half, and the Bobcats having only one shot, Florida National seemed to have found a fast offensive pace. While the Bobcats entered the intermission with the score tied, the roles were quickly reversed in the second half. St. Thomas had nine shots total and one in which found the back of the net to provide them with the lead. Having nine minutes left on the clock before the end of the match, Florida National gave everything they had but fell short to St. Thomas.

The Bobcats return to field on Wednesday October 7 at 4 p.m. for their third conference matchup against Southeastern University at Bobcat Field in Miami Gardens, Fla.
