MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Bobcats (22-4, TSC 15-1) notched another conference victory under their belt in a wire-to-wire 91-64 victory over Florida Memorial (10-17, TSC 7-9) at the Fernandez Family Center.  The victory puts the Bobcats ahead of Southeastern, the Sun conference's number two seed, by a full game in the standings. With two games remaining in the regular season, of all them within conference, the Bobcats can clinch the top seed if they win out, or if Southeastern loses another conference game.

Once again leading St. Thomas was
Dannisha Pierce who had 26 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Â
Claudia Martin also had a solid performance with 14 points and seven boards. Guiding the Bobcat offense was
Antishia Wright, who played the role of point-forward to the tune of 10 points and four assists.Â
Desanta' Franklin-Jordan was another standout with 11 points, nine of which were scored off three-pointers.

The Bobcats got off to a hot start in the paint once again, relying on the post moves of Pierce and Martin. Pierce, in particular, had a strong showing scoring 15 points in the first half alone. Joining in on the inside action was
Cleyder Blanco, who came off the bench to score six points in the painted area. Â Franklin-Jordan and
Emma Grimes, who each had two three-pointers during the half, complemented St. Thomas' post production with baskets from behind the three-point arc. St. Thomas used their inside-out game to obtain a sizable lead early, and by halftime led 52-38.

St. Thomas continued to control the game, stretching the lead to 19 points with 13:41 to go. The Bobcats again found steady production from their bigs. Martin scored eight of her 14 points in the second half, while Pierce tallied another 11 points. Much like the first half, the Bobcats controlled the flow of the game, cruising comfortably to the win.

St. Thomas outperformed Florida Memorial in all the critical phases of the game, shooting better from the field, three –point arc, and free-throw line. St. Thomas also beat up the Lions on the glass, outrebounding them 41-32. The Bobcats shot 52% from the field. In comparison, the Lions shot 35% from the field. The Bobcats shot 31% from behind the arc, compared to Florida Memorial's 29%. At the charity stripe, St. Thomas shot 82% versus the Lions' 75%.

The Bobcats head up to Thomasville, Ga. for a road match-up against the Thomas Nighthawks on Thursday, February 19. The Bobcats previously defeated the Nighthawks by the score of 80-48 when they faced each other on January 31. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 P.M. local time.
