HARDEEVILLE, SC – In less than 40-degree weather, St. Thomas (5-4, 2-2 TSC) dropped game one of a three-game series at host University of South Carolina-Beaufort (11-2, 3-1 TSC)Â
Friday afternoon at Richard Gray Sports Complex. The game was called after seven innings of play, as the run-rule was placed into effect after USCB went ahead by more than 10 runs after the end of seven innings. The Sharks took down the Bobcats with a final score of 14-0. First Baseman
Eric Santamaria was able to lead the Bobcats in the loss with a game-high two hits including one double.
The Sharks recorded only two scoring innings in the game, scoring eight runs in the fourth inning and six in the fifth. USCB's starting pitcher Junior Delatorre earned the win after pitching all seven innings, gave up only five hits and three walks, while striking out 11 Bobcat hitters.

Steven Fischer and
Oscar Rodriguez were able to record hits, with
Adam Duarte and
Jerry Downs able to get on base through walks of their own.
The Bobcats continue their series at USCBÂ
