WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Claudia Martin recorded her seventh double-double of the season with a 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead St. Thomas (18-4, 11-1 The Sun Conference) to a 64-52 victory over host Northwood (4-16, 3-8 TSC) Wednesday evening.  With the win, the Bobcats have now won 13 of their last 14 games.
 
Dannisha Pierce scored 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds. It marked the 11th time this season that Pierce has scored 20 or more points.  Antishia Wright led all players with 11 assists. 
 
The Bobcats controlled the action for the entire game, taking a 4-3 lead early on and never again trailing.  A Martin jumper just before the half gave STU a 39-28 lead at intermission.
 
Defensively, STU held Northwood to just 33% shooting from the field.
 
St. Thomas returns to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. vs. Ave Maria at the Fernandez Family Center.
