Desanta' Franklin-Jordan and
Dannisha Pierce each scored 19 points to lead St. Thomas (19-4, 12-1 The Sun Conference) to a 70-50 win over Ave Maria (13-12, 4-9 TSC) Saturday afternoon at the Fernandez Family Center. The Bobcats have now won 14 of their last 15 games.

Franklin-Jordan shot 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. She scored 14 of her 19 points in the first half.

Pierce shot 7-of-9 from the field, while also pulling down 13 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season. She also recorded six assists and three steals.

Antishia Wright scored just three points, but had a productive game with eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a blocked shot.Â
Claudia Martin added eight rebounds.

Ave Maria kept STU's in single digits for most of the second half and trailed by eight points with four minutes remaining before intermission. Sparked by a
Emma Grimes three-pointer and capped by a Franklin-Jordan three-pointer, the Bobcats went on a 14-2 run to close the half. Â

STU outshot AMU 51% to 31% from the field and went to the free throw line 13 more times. The Bobcats won the battle on the boards as well, out-rebounding the Gyrenes 41-33.
