WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – St. Thomas (20-8) sweeps Caldwell University (2-6) at the Palm Beach Challenge at The Santaluces Sportplex.
Elim Perritte had the best day during the game two outing, as he went four for four with five RBI a double and homerun.
Andrew Denis had the best outing on the mound for the Bobcats, as he pitched five scoreless innings during his start, with six strikeouts and only three hits.
In game one, the scoring went back and forth for most of the time. The Bobcat would score first in the first with two runs, but the Cougars would respond in the bottom half with two of their own. The Bobcats offense wouldn't be stopped in game one though, as they scored a run every inning, besides the seventh and eighth inning. The team totaled 16 hits overall in game one. As

Cesar Ramirez and
Adam Duarte would all have multi-hit game ones. A 15-5 win would secure game one for STU, as starter
Devon Stubbings would pick up his second win of the season.
In game two, the majority of production came from Perritte's bat, while the constant on defense came from the arm of Denis. Overall, the STU pitching was able to hold the Cougars to a shutout in game two, and only eight hits. Besdies Denis' power start,

Alejandro Kan and
Alex Viera helped secure the zero-run day. Along with Perritte's great day at the plate in game two,
Jerry Downs,
Paul Chacin and
Eric Santamaria had multi-hit game two's. Downs was also credited with an impressive three RBI in game two. The power hitting and strong arms would secure the 13-0 win for the Bobcats in game two.
The Bobcats head to Florida Memorial this weekend to play against the Lions in a three-game conference series. First pitch scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m.
