MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Bobcats (2-1) won their second straight with a victory over the Knights of Middle Georgia (3-4). Â The Bobcats controlled the tempo of the match, and, at times, had to control their poise. Â But alas, the Bobcats dominated the time of possession, leading to a clean sweep of the Knights when you factor in the Bobcats victory in the women's match-up.
The Bobcats were first on the board when
Chris Valdes found
Hector Mena inside the box in the game's 6th minute. Â That would be the only score needed, as the Bobcats never left matters in doubt. Â The game, however, was not without it's drama. Â 8 cards were handed out over the course of the contest. Â But again, the Bobcats regained their poise to close out the Knights. Â Goalkeeper
Deljan Bregasi improved to 2-1, and earned his first shut-out of the season.
The Bobcats return to the pitch on Sunday, September 13, when they head up to Fort Lauderdale to take on NCAA DII opponent, Nova Southeastern. Â Kick-off is set for 1 P.M. E.T.
