BABSON PARK, Fla. – St. Thomas (8-4, TSC 3-3) defeated Webber International (2-6-1, TSC 1-4-1) 1-0 in Sun Conference road match up on Sunday.
St. Thomas won its second conference game in a row by a score of 1-0 thanks to another dominant performance from the STU defense and goalie
Olivia Waller. The Bobcats held the Warriors to only 11 shots in the match with just three on goal. Waller recorded another shutout, which gives her five on the season.
STU got on the board right before the half with
Amyah Banks scoring a magnificent strike in the 44
th minute of the match. Banks and
Amanda Gordon led the team with four shots each with Gordon having four on goal and Banks having two.
Ana Parra also added two shots with one on goal. Bobcats totaled 13 shots on offense and 10 on goal.
Next up for the Bobcats is a home match up under the lights against the no. 9 ranked team in the nation, Keiser University on Thursday, October 20
