The Bobcats played what would beĀ their second gameĀ ofĀ the weekend on a road trip up to GeorgiaĀ butĀ would not show signs of fatigueĀ as they shutout the Knights. With the start of the first period, around the ninth minute,Ā STU came out firing as
Chelsea Trost blasted a shot that wasĀ rebounded and punched into the net by
Kortney Hinden. This gave the Bobcats an early lead as they did not attempt to look back the remainder of the match.

Heading into the final minutes of the half, senior forward
Jannel Johnson struck from the outside off a pass from Hinden. This would mark the third goal of the season for Johnson as the bobcats jumped to a 2-0 lead. With a minute remaining until the half,Ā the BobcatsĀ capitalized againĀ when aĀ brilliantĀ shot from
Kylie Braeseke was put into the back of the net off an impressive cross by
Taylor Malone.

After the half, St. ThomasĀ continued to hold Middle Georgia scorless as they struggled to find an offensive tempo.Ā To further stretch the lead, anĀ insurance goal was scored in 65
th minute of the match when
Andreina Sifontes cranked one passed the goalie for the 4-0 lead against MGA.

Johnson, Sifontes, and Malone lead all Bobcats with 3 shots apiece, followed by teammatesĀ Trost, Hinden, and
Amanda GordonĀ who registered 2 shots each.Ā Defensively,
Cristina Garwacki had an amazing matchĀ by registering her first shutout of the season. Garwacki added three saves on the only three shots on goal that the defense allowed.
