MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (0-2) lost its second game of the 2016-17 season to Madonna University (1-1) by a score of 73-66.
The Bobcats ended the first half with a 32-30 lead over the Crusaders. St. Thomas maintained their lead through the third quarter, ending it with a 54-50 score line. The Bobcats were unable to hold on to their lead in the fourth quarter, getting outscored by the Crusaders 23-12.
Desanta' Franklin-Jordan led the Bobcats in scoring with 24 points and shot 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
Emily Erameh dominated the boards, totaling 18 rebounds to go along with 14 points for her first double-double in a St. Thomas uniform.
The Bobcats will be searching for their first win of the season when they take on Edward Waters on Monday, November 14Â at 6 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.
