Miramar, Fla. – St. Thomas (2-1) defeated Florida Memorial (0-1) by a score of 3-0 in its third game of the season.
 
Bobcats struck first with a goal from Andreina Sifontes at the 26^th minute of the game assisted by Jannel Johnson.
 
After the half, St. Thomas came out firing scoring 2 brilliant strikes. The first was by Taylor Malone. The second was the tag team duo who combined for the first goal but this time Johnson, reaching the back of the net, gets assisted by Sifontes in the 80^th minute increasing the lead to 3-0.
 
The STU defense gets it's first shutout of the year by shuting down the Lions attack only allowing 3 shots with 2 on goal.  
 
Next up for St. Thomas is a match on Friday, September 9^th against Texas Wesleyan University in San Antonio, Texas at 3 p.m.
