San Antonio, Texas - St. Thomas (4-1) took down the host team and 21st ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (4-2) 2-0 at the OLLU Invitational.
 
With the win over #21 OLLU, St. Thomas extended its winning streak to three games, while snapping the Saints' two-match win streak.
 
STU was led by Taylor Malone and Chelsea Trost who both scored for the Bobcats. The shots leader came from Sarah Lyppert Thomsson who added four shots, three of which were on goal.
 
Goalkeeper Olivia Waller also had an amazing match getting her first shutout of the season by saving the only two shots on goal as the Bobcat defense held off the #21 ranked Saints on their home field.
 
Malone struck first giving St. Thomas the early lead and what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 23^rd minute. Bobcat's second goal came off a Sharon Tejeda corner kick that was drilled into the back of the net by Trost in the 43^rd minute. The STU defense took care of the rest, protecting the lead and allowing very few opportunities for the Saint's offense.
 
Next up for the Bobcats is the start of Sun Conference play when they visit SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) on Friday, September 23^rd at 4:30 p.m.
