MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.-  #21 St. Thomas (14-2, 3-1 TSC) beat Florida Memorial  (1-7, 1-2 TSC) in straight sets 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-11) Wednesday night at the Fernandez Family Center.

The Bobcats continued to roll at home as they routed FMU in straight sets extending their undefeated home winning streak to nine games.
In the first set,
Whitney Battoe earned two of her five blocks to change the tone of the match. The Bobcats were down 7-10 with
Veronica Gomez up to serve. STU blocked the Lions three times in a row, with two coming from Battoe and
Courtney White to tie the match at 10. The Lions fought a tough battle in the first, but could not hold back the Bobcats as they swept the next two sets in dominating fashion.
STU was led by Battoe who compiled 10 kills with five blocks and seven digs.
Kadeeja Griffin added four kills with two blocks. White and
Shanotta Bawek each registered five and four kills respectively. White added six blocks in addition to Bawek's nine digs to help extend points for the Bobcats.
Dana Nowaczyk had an amazing with a game high 20 assists, as well as three digs and one block.
Caitlin McCluskey also had a nice match leading the team with 14 digs and six kills.
Next up for the Bobcats is another TSC match up against Southeastern University on Saturday, September 24 at 2 p.m. where they look to extend their winning streak to 10 games at the Fernandez Family Center.Â
