BOBCATS FALL SHORT TO NO. 8 SEU

LAKELAND, Fla. – No. 8 ranked Southeastern (16-0, 8-0 TSC) defeated visiting St. Thomas (7-9, 3-3 TSC) 69-62 Thursday night.

The first quarter brought a difficult sight to see as the Bobcats went in to the second quarter down 13 by a score of 8-21, but the toughness and resilience of the team edged them closer to SEU.

Thanks to a combined 30 points (15 from Katie Rienas, 15 from Kunchuan Supavadee), STU stayed in this game until the end, bridging the gap to four points with two minutes remaining. The upset was within reaching distance but the Fire held on to remain undefeated in both regular season and conference.

Rienas (one steal, four rebounds) and Kunchuan(one rebound, two assists) each scored 15 points, while Samara Auguste(six rebounds, six assists, five rebounds) added 11 points for the Bobcats in the defeat.
