BABSON PARK, Fla. – St. Thomas (8-9, 4-2 TSC) defeated Webber International (5-13, 1-6 TSC) in a Sun Conference contest by a final score of 67-60. The Bobcats came back from a 14 point deficit with 9:46 remaining in the third period to get the win.
Webber International led St. Thomas at the conclusion of the second period by a score of 34-22. The Bobcats did not give up without a fight, however, and outscored the Warriors by 19 points in the second half to complete an impressive comeback.
Katie Rienas led all players in scoring with 22 points, while going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.
Desanta' Franklin-Jordan achieved a double-double by scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Samara Auguste was in charge of distribution and disruption for the game, leading all players with eight assists and seven steals.
St. Thomas will go up against another Sun Conference opponent in their next game when they face Keiser University at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
