RIENAS, FRANKLIN-JORDAN SCORE BIG AS BOBCATS WIN FOURTH STRAIGHT

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (10-9, 6-2 TSC) won its fourth straight game with an 80-58 win over Webber International (5-15, 1-8 TSC) Tuesday night at the Fernandez Family Center.

The first quarter brought a tough Warriors team as the score was tied a game high four times, with STU unable to break away with any runs. As the score was tied 11-11 with 1:35 left in the first quarter, St. Thomas attempted a run to close out the quarter but the Warriors bounced back to lead 15-11 at the end of the quarter.

From then on, it was all STU which fired off a 11-2 run in the second quarter to gain control of the game. Going in to the locker room the score was in favor of the Bobcats 37-29, and they never looked back.

Katie Rienas had an explosive first half as WIU could not stop her from behind the three-point line. She netted 4-of-7 threes to ensure the Bobcats would dominate going in to the locker room.
