MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (6-8, 3-1 TSC) defeated Thomas University (5-8, 2-3 TSC) 66-44 in a Sun Conference matchup Thursday night at the Fernandez Family Center.
The Bobcats are now on a two-game win streak, coming at the right time as conference play has resumed this week.
STU led 28-25 at the half, and then outscored the Night Hawks 19-7 in the third quarter to seize control of the contest.
Desanta' Franklin-Jordan recorded her second double-double (her first against Johnson & Wales in November) with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Supavadee Kunchuan led all scorers with 21 points. Samara Auguste added 13 points for the Bobcats, two rebounds, four assists and 1 steal. Keiana Brooks had a game high five steals.
The Bobcats return to action on Thursday, January 12 at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla.
