Elisburg joined the Miami HEAT in its inaugural season while completing an internship to fulfill his graduation requirement toward his Sports Administration degree.  He has been with the HEAT ever since where he has been a part of three NBA championships while rising up the ranks to his current position as Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations/General Manager.

Now entering his fifth season as Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations/General Manager, Elisburg continues to assist CEO Nick Arison and President Pat Riley in the management of all aspects of the HEAT's basketball organization including salary cap administration, talent acquisition, league compliance and the day-to-day business of basketball operations.

He is a HEAT original, joining the franchise in its inaugural 1988 season. For the past 22 years, Elisburg has been working in basketball operations, and prior to his current post, he served five years as Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations/Assistant General Manager, playing an integral role in salary cap planning and basketball operations management, while overseeing the day-to-day operations at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Elisburg began the team's inaugural campaign as an intern in the public relations department before becoming a public relations assistant at the end of the season. He has served in many different capacities, including Assistant Director of Public Relations; Director of Team Services and Information; Director of Team Operations; Vice President, Basketball Operations, Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations and Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations/Assistant General Manager.

Honored in 2004 by St. Thomas University with the school's first Leader for Life Award, Elisburg continues to give back to his alma mater.  Most recently, Elisburg helped launch the St. Thomas University athletic department's TOTAL program, a first-of-its-kind student-athlete success program.

The induction of Elisburg into the Bobcat Sports Hall of Fame will take place at the ninth annual Stone Crab Dinner to benefit Athletics presented by the Miami HEAT Foundation.  The event begins on Sunday, November 5 at 6 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center on the campus of St. Thomas University.  The event includes an all-you-can-eat stone crab dinner with Bobcat student-athletes serving as wait staff.  All proceeds benefit the operations of the 14 St. Thomas University athletic teams.
